From the 25th May 2018 a new law called The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be in effect. GDPR is designed to give you more choice in how you're contacted and how your data (for example your name, address) is used. The new law also makes it easier to find out how your information is processed and protected.
Furness Fluid Power Limited understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used. As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR, which this Policy and our use of personal data have been designed to uphold:

iv. The right to be forgotten i.e. the right to ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you (We only hold your personal data for a limited time, as explained in section 6 but if you would like us to delete it sooner, please contact us using the details in section 8);

6. Data Sharing
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations for up to six years.
Any data we hold about you will be processed and held securely and no third parties will have access to your details unless there is a legal obligation for us to provide them with this or for the purpose of registering training candidates with an awarding body.
Furness Fluid Power Ltd maintains a marketing list that contains basic details of individuals and companies who have consented to receiving information about our products and services via email.
Each marketing email sent provides you with the option to "opt-out" by replying to said email with the words "opt-out".

You have the right to ask for a copy of any of your personal data held by us under the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR. We require the payment of a small fee which will not exceed £10.
